How do we walk ?

How do we walk ? This is very easy topic and but most of us do not know the science behind it. We know that we walk with the help of our two legs. But how? What is the science behind the walking? So, lets start.

There is two important laws or term which with the help of we can understand that how we walk? And that is
1. NEWTON'S THIRD LAW OF MOTION
2. VECTOR QUANTITY (Resolution of vector)
Resolution of vector is very important to understand it.

If you don't know about Newton's laws of motion and vector quantity. then click on this link

According to NEWTON'S THIRD LAW OF MOTION :- The force of action and reaction is always equal and opposite. When a force is applied on object 2 by object 1 , that is called Action force and the equal and opposite force applied on object 1 by object 2 , that is called reaction force.

Similarly; When we walk ,we press the ground by our foot in downward direction at some angle with the ground.Actually when we are pressing ground , we are applying a force on the ground ,that force is called action force. And according to NEWTON'S THIRD LAW OF MOTION  an equal and opposite force applied on that foot on the opposite direction of action force ,and force applied by ground on foot is said to be reaction force say 'R'.

Now Resolve the vector R(Reaction force) into rectangular component according to figure. The two component is Rsinθ and Rcosθ. First component Rsin0 is in upward direction and Second component Rcosθ is in forward direction.

The component Rsinθ helps to maintain the balance the weight of the whole body and helps to keep standing .
And the component Rcosθ helps in walking means moving forward.

When we raise our foot after pressing the ground then we move our body forward and put our second foot forward and then again there is same process. Now i can hope that you all understand the science behind the walking.

for any confusion comment below
